INTRODUCTION
Established in 1395H
(1975CE), the Department of Mechanical Engineering offers a strong core
mechanical engineering program with applications to mechanical design, manufacturing
processes and technology, refrigeration and air-conditioning, saline water
conversion, and energy conversion systems. The department programs provide
rigorous training in analytical skills as well as hands-on experimental
skills.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering also
actively conducts research activities that are relevant to the needs of the
country and the region. Cooperation with the local industry aims at
streamlining the knowledge transfer between the university and the industry.
This is achieved through consultations, seminars, courses, meetings, and
visits.
