Graduation Requirements, MENG

Graduates' Employment Opportunities

The Mechanical Engineering (Production and Mechanical Systems Design) graduates represents a potential candidate to become one of the pillars of any design, development or manufacturing activity in the industry and the society.

Graduates of the Program find good opportunities in the industrial sector to work in the following areas:

·         Analysis and design of machinery, equipment and material handling systems.

·         Automatic control systems including hydraulic and pneumatic.

·         Production and manufacturing techniques and automations.

·         Testing, measurement, inspection and quality control of products.

·         Maintenance, failure analysis and fault diagnosis of mechanical systems.

Key to Course Numbers and Program Code

Each course is referred by an alphabetical code and a three digits number as follows:

1.     Production and Mechanical Systems Design Program  is referred by the code “MENG”

2.     The hundredth digit refers to the school year

3.     The tenth digit refers to specialty within the Program

4.     The ones digit refers to course serial within the same specialty as indicated in Table 1
